Information We Collect

To provide bike rental services, we collect:

• Account details — name, phone number, email, and address used to register and verify your account.
• Location data — your real-time GPS location while a ride is active, so we can show nearby bikes, calculate routes, and confirm ride start/end points.
• Ride & trip data — start and end kilometres, ride duration, route taken, and parking location for each trip.
• Camera access — used only to scan the QR code on a bike. We do not store photos taken during a scan.
• Payment information — transaction details processed through our secure payment gateway. We do not store your full card or UPI credentials on our servers.
• Rider-specific data (for delivery/rider accounts) — trip logs, delivery counts, hub attendance, and vehicle registration details, as required for rider operations.
• Device & usage data — device type, IP address, app version, and crash/diagnostic logs to keep the app running reliably.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your eZygo account.
• To locate nearby bikes, start rentals via QR, and track active rides for billing and safety.
• To process payments and maintain accurate ride/earnings records.
• To send ride confirmations, receipts, and important service updates.
• To investigate reported bike issues, disputes, or misuse of the service.
• To improve app performance and plan bike/hub availability based on usage patterns.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

• Payment processors, to complete and verify transactions.
• Service providers who support app hosting, analytics, or customer support, under confidentiality obligations.
• Aggregator/delivery partners (e.g., Blinkit, Zomato) where relevant to rider order fulfillment.
• Law enforcement or regulators, only where required by law or to protect the safety of users and the public.

Location Data Controls

Location access is required only while a ride is active, to enable bike starting, route tracking, and secure ride closure. You can disable location permissions anytime through your device settings, but doing so will prevent you from starting or completing rides.

Data Retention

We retain account and ride data for as long as your account is active, and for up to 24 months after closure to resolve disputes, complete final settlements, and meet legal obligations. Payment records may be retained longer where required by tax or financial regulations.

Your Rights

• Access, correct, or update your personal information from within the app.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to any legal retention requirements.
• Withdraw consent for location or camera access at any time via device settings.
• Opt out of promotional communications using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

eZygo is not directed at anyone under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us so we can remove it.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted transmission and restricted server access. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email before they take effect. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent version.
